SCHUMACHER SOIRÉE 

An intimate Lake Forest dinner celebrated Schumacher, its Chicago design community, and an enduring creative connection.

On a perfect summer evening, Nalisa and Keith Ward opened their Lake Forest home for an intimate dinner honoring Dara Caponigro, Creative Director of Schumacher and Editor of FREDERIC magazine. Hosted in collaboration with Schumacher Chicago and its Midwest team, the evening brought together a select group of leading Chicago designers in celebration of their longstanding relationship with the iconic design house.

Caponigro traveled from New York for the occasion, joined by members of the Schumacher team. Against the elegant backdrop of the Wards’ home, with interiors designed by Shelley Johnstone, guests gathered for cocktails before settling in for dinner and an evening of lively conversation.

More than just a celebration of design, the dinner was a gracious thank-you to the designers who continue to support Schumacher and an opportunity to welcome Caponigro and the New York team back to Chicago. With good company, beautiful surroundings, and a quintessential North Shore summer night, it was an evening that celebrated friendship, creativity, and the spirit of Schumacher.
