BUNNY & BABE TIMES TWO
Style maven Peyton Merrill launched BUNNY & BABE in 2020. The modern Winnetka boutique’s style aesthetic is classic and feminine with an edge, reminiscent of the women who inspired its name. The two fashion icons, Bunny Mellon and Babe Paley, who were America’s first “It” girls inspire Merrill’s carefully curated collection of women’s ready-to-wear, shoes, accessories, and home decor. Both Bunny and Babe were larger than life and the boutique is echoing their lifestyle in expanding its footprint. Bunny & Babe’s new space offers the classically feminine style with a hint of edge for the North Shore’s younger set. Bunny & Babe is located at 555 and 559 Chestnut Street in Winnetka, 847-999-3255, bunnyandbabe.com.

A COMMUNITY UNITED
For more than 50 years, Deerfield High School has held an annual three-week-long charity drive in November, called School Chest, to raise money for a selected beneficiary. This year’s winner is PAWS FOR PATRICK, an organization connecting young people living with mental illness with emotional support animals and therapy dogs. During these three weeks, the efforts of the student body, staff, and surrounding North Shore communities will be synthesized with the mission of raising funds and awareness for Paws for Patrick. Numerous events and initiatives including a silent auction benefit dinner, a 3×3 basketball tournament, a singing competition, a 5k Run for Change, and daily food sales, are held as key means of fundraising. All School Chest events are entirely student-run and unite the entire student body and community working toward a common goal. Last year’s recipient was awarded more than $155,000. For more information about School Chest and the activities they have planned for Paws for Patrick, visit schoolchest.org.
