The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago (MCA) raised a record-breaking $6 million at its annual fundraiser sponsored by Sotheby’s. Co-chaired by Cari B. Sacks and Kenneth C. Griffin, the evening featured bold red and bright white colors accented by artists’ names in the lobby leading to the MCA’s sculpture garden. The 400 guests in attendance were truly immersed in the museum’s contemporary artworks, inspiring a lively auction with the highest winning bid of the night being $1,150,000 for the 2018 painting “Untitled” by American artist Richard Prince. mcachicago.org
