Let It Be Us hosted an unforgettable evening celebrating its 10th anniversary at the Be Mine Gala on Friday, May 10. Emceed by Dave McKinney of WBEZ-FM, who is a licensed foster parent, and held at Walden Chicago, a beautiful event space in Chicago’s West Town neighborhood, the gala brought together approximately 250 people for dinner and drinks, a live auction, entertainment by teen singers from After School Matters, and an awards presentation. Let It Be Us honored longtime board members Elizabeth Felice and Doug Locke for their unwavering service and support. Proceeds from the evening will enable Let It Be Us to innovate within the Illinois child welfare system by recruiting and training foster families and placing children into the right home, the first time. letitbeus.org
