KAREN V. PAIGE
Family Law Partner
BEERMANN LLP
Karen V. Paige is a partner at Beermann LLP whose family law practice spans more than 25 years of helping clients navigate some of life’s most challenging transitions. Drawing on extensive experience in both litigation and mediation, she is known for crafting individualized strategies that align with each client’s unique circumstances, goals, and family dynamics.
Recognized by her peers for her work in family law, Paige has been named to Best Lawyers in America since 2020 and has also been consistently recognized by Super Lawyers. Her commitment to alternative dispute resolution dates back to the beginning of her career in Southern California, where she developed a strong appreciation for mediation as an effective tool for resolving family disputes. Today, she evaluates every case through a creative lens, seeking opportunities for resolution whenever possible while remaining fully prepared to advocate for her clients in court when necessary.
In addition to representing parents and spouses, Paige serves as a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem (GAL) in Lake County, where she represents the best interests of children involved in family law matters. Paige is frequently appointed at the conclusion of family law cases as a Parenting Coordinator (PC). Paige’s GAL and PC work has become a defining aspect of her practice and reflects her dedication to helping families move forward in healthier and more constructive ways.
A respected leader in the family law community, Paige serves on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) and served as Chapter President in 2025. Paige is also a member of the Lake County Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Association of Women Attorneys of Lake County.
