When you walk into Botti Law Firm’s new office at the Drake Office Plaza in Oak Brook, you are greeted as if you are a member of the family. “We’re all family here,” says John Botti. “I work with my dad, Aldo Botti, and my brother Michael, and our other partner, Jean Lasics-Wessels, has been working here for 28 years. Each member of our support staff has been here for years too,” said John.

“This firm was started by Aldo Botti over 50 years ago and he is still practicing,” says John. “In a sense, the firm is a reflection of him. He grew up as a child of immigrants, and his determination and tenacity are in this firm’s DNA. This firm has helped a lot of people over the years. I’m proud to be carrying on that legacy,” Botti says.

John grew up in Hinsdale, attended Fenwick High School in Oak Park, and received an undergraduate degree from Villanova University and earned his law degree from UIC John Marshall Law.

During law school, he interned at the Cook County Public Defender’s Office. John’s first job out of law school was as a criminal prosecutor in DuPage County for five years. This valuable experience gives John deep perspective that is helpful in daily life and in the practice of law. He has been with Botti Law Firm for over a decade.
