As you are about to see on the pages that follow, the Hinsdale area is filled with strong, bold, influential Power Women who are leaders in their fields. And yet despite this success, many report having to work twice as hard as their male peers to get there. One of the questions we asked this year’s Power Women honorees was how women should better support other women, particularly the next generation of leaders. The responses were very similar with one common denominator—mentorship. Most of the professionals we feature had that one person who made a difference in their lives and helped them open doors that may have been closed otherwise. These women are entrepreneurs, business owners, financial planners, medical professionals, interior designers, real estate experts, educators, party planners, and innovators who lead by example and stand as an inspiration for those around them.
