The bespoke business was established on Mother’s Day Weekend in 1987 in a town that values family above all else. Browning developed her love for jewelry as a child, when she delighted in the piles of fashion costume jewelry her neighbors dropped off in paper bags. “My grandmother, also Rachel, would put them on a scale and announce how many pounds of jewels I had collected.” she says. “Our focus is delivering jewelry pieces that we ourselves would wear and collect, collaborating with artists and designers on selected merchandise that we present as a collection to build upon. We thoroughly enjoy the design and merging of our original work together with designer’s pieces to create an eclectic jewelry selection.” Browning & Sons offers a selection of fine jewelry including heirloom-quality, traditional designs, in-house one-of-a-kind custom pieces, custom collections exclusive to the brand, and the redesign and repurpose of client pieces. “Working on wedding engagements is an honor. We get to be a part of clients’ families, from the education of their purchase all the way to their wedding.” In addition to her “rock star” staff, Browning says, “I have the pleasure of working with my son, Johnny, who is my greatest asset to the business. And, our clients are truly our friends and family.”
