David M. Irwin, Jr. is the CEO & Founder of Rainier and Hawthorne, LLC, where he has engineered a corporate-grade, 30-day resolution architecture designed to bring clarity, efficiency, and calm to complex marital transitions. A Seattle native and father of two teenage sons, Irwin brings both personal grounding and more than 25 years of experience advising corporate leaders through complex problems and high-stakes situations.
Before founding Rainier and Hawthorne, David built a career helping organizations and executives navigate crisis, complexity, and change. That background informs his current work with couples, where he applies disciplined thinking, structured decision-making, and calm leadership to help clients move through emotionally charged transitions with greater focus and less friction.
His philosophy is rooted in simplicity and clarity. As he puts it, “Keep life simple so you can focus on what truly matters.”
Irwin emphasizes calm, steady leadership under pressure. “Truth is found in simplicity, and not in the multiplicity and confusion of things,” he says is a guiding principle in his work and life.
