When Gina Koertner originally relocated to Barrington it was to work at the Global Headquarters for the Gatorade Sports Science Institute in product development, formulating new flavors and working on cost savings. Now, as the President of the Barrington Junior Women’s Club, Koertner spends her time volunteering and at her two beautiful daughters, Isla and Anja’s, schools—Barrington Middle School Station and Countryside Elementary, respectively. Busy building a new home in Barrington Hills for her family, she is also an avid sportswoman having competed in six Ironman triathlons. A huge dog lover, her family is expanding with the addition of two golden retriever puppies this December.
