DR. LINDSEY MALONE and DR. SOPHIA RODRIGUEZ are physician-partners at the well-established Obstetrics and Gynecology private practice West Suburban Women’s Health, merging unparalleled skill with heartfelt care. Dr. Malone has special interests in hormone replacement therapy and menopause while Dr. Rodriguez is inspired by laparoscopy and fibroids. Together, they provide management of high risk pregnancies and complex gynecologic issues along with their ability to provide evidence-based, personalized medicine while keeping patient autonomy in view.

Most rewarding part of what you do? As doctors in obstetrics and gynecology, we are so fortunate to be a part of women’s lives from teenage years, pregnancy, postpartum, and peri- and post-menopause. It means we develop and grow a relationship over many years and are an integral part of important milestones. It’s an absolute gift and privilege to be able to see our patients through this.

How do you inspire others? We inspire others to believe in themselves by recognizing their hopes and desires and reassuring them of their strength to make those dreams come true. We help our patients understand that their well-being is as important to us as it is to them. Knowing that someone cares and believes in you is a powerful force—one that is unstoppable.

Definition of success? Our definition of success aligns with a quote from Ruth Bader Ginsburg. She once described how she wanted to be remembered: ‘Someone who used whatever talent she had to do her work to the very best of her ability and to help repair tears in society, to make things a little better through the use of whatever ability she has. To do something outside of myself.’ This captures the essence of success for us—using our talents to make a positive impact beyond ourselves.
