Allendale Shelter Club is partnering with Lake Forest’s Courtyard Wines in a Home for the Holidays event, presenting several carefully curated boxes of wine and spirits to help fill homes with joy and cheer throughout the season. With every order, the purchaser is contributing to the Shelter Club’s mission.

All funds raised by the Shelter Club go directly to supporting Allendale Association, a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to excellence and innovation in the care, treatment, education, and advocacy for children and youth with serious emotional, mental, and behavioral health challenges.

One fabulous option for a small gathering is the Shelter Club Martini Kit, which includes: one 375 ml bottle of Chambord raspberry liqueur, one 375ml bottle of Tito’s vodka, and two 5.5-ounce bottles of Ocean Spray cranberry juice cocktail.

THE SHELTER CLUB MARTINI

Serves two

Ingredients

• 4 ounces vodka
• 3 ounces chilled cranberry juice cocktail
• 1 ounce Chambord raspberry liqueur
• 1 lemon, peel cut into long strips with a vegetable peeler or paring knife for lemon twist
• Sprigs of rosemary for garnish, optional

Fill shaker ½ full of ice. Pour in vodka, cranberry juice cocktail, and Chambord. Cover and shake vigorously until outside of shaker becomes very cold, about 20 seconds. Strain cocktail into a martini or coupe glass. Twist a strip of peel over each glass to release oils then add to cocktail. Alternatively, garnish with a sprig of rosemary in each glass.
