Grace Flatt is a hands-on, top-producing real estate agent with more than 25 years of experience on the North Shore and across the greater Chicago area. In 2025 alone, she sold nearly $50 million in real estate as a single agent with @properties Christie’s International Real Estate. Born and raised in Chicago and on the North Shore, Flatt is proud to have roots throughout the city and suburbs with a very tight-knit Italian family. She blends deep local knowledge with a personal touch and is committed to helping clients navigate the complexities of the luxury market while safeguarding privacy and legacy.
What trends are shaping the high-end real estate landscape right now?
Luxury buyers have always appreciated expansive homes, but today they’re using that space in more intentional, personal ways. The kitchen is still the heart of the home, though many are now adding a secondary scullery kitchen—so entertaining feels effortless and the mess stays out of sight. Wellness amenities are everywhere: home gyms, golf simulators, resort-style pools, infrared saunas, cold plunges. One new construction home I toured recently had a built-in clothing steamer integrated right into the primary closet. I thought that’s the kind of detail that makes a house feel like it was designed around your life.
What sets your approach apart when working with high-net-worth clients?
I’ve lived on the North Shore for years, and there is truly no better place to raise a family. My own daughters are growing up here, and that connection is something I bring into every conversation with clients. High-net-worth clients choose to move; they rarely have to. That means patience and trust matter more than anything. I preview homes personally and only bring clients to ones I know will genuinely resonate with them. And when the moment comes, I fight for them in ways that go beyond price. Recently, we were in a multiple-offer situation—and my clients weren’t the highest bid. But I was able to convey, authentically, how deeply they loved that home and what it would mean to their family. The sellers chose us. That’s the work I love most—being the person who can communicate what a home truly means to someone.
