A Smile Says It All

Though he’s one of the most sought after cosmetic dentists in the country, Dr. Michael Morgan thinks it’s important to spend one-on-one time with patients.
“The majority of dentistry today is corporate driven, and their goals are dictated by speed and efficiency. My goal is to spend time building relationships with each patient and tailoring their treatment to exactly what they want and what’s important to them,” he says. “There are no outside forces interfering with what the patient wants. My discussions with them are centered around their individual goals and needs.
For the past 10 years, Dr. Morgan has been building these relationships with his patients in Hinsdale, and for 30 years total in dentistry. His client roster includes far flung patients from the corners of the U.S. and other countries who make the trip to Illinois just to see him. Many of them have seen his work as an international lecturer on comprehensive and aesthetic dentistry.
“I enjoy the mental challenge of complex treatment, whether it’s treating one tooth or reconstructing an entire bite or mouth,” he says. “Those are the parts of my profession I enjoy the most and am most skilled at, and the primary reason people travel to come here.”
Whether they see him speak, read his professional clinical articles, meet him abroad, or read about him online, patients seek out Dr. Morgan’s practice for his esthetic dentistry expertise. He has taught at both the University Pacific in San Francisco-Pacific Aesthetic Continuum (PAC-Live), and the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, two of the world’s most prestigious training institutes. He also studied the art of cosmetic dentistry at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, working there with some of the world’s most talented dental artists after graduating from the University of Illinois School of Dentistry in Chicago.
“Training in Europe is rare for American dentists,” Dr. Morgan says, “and my patients appreciate the Swiss-driven perfection and artistic flair.”
When not working with his patients, Dr. Morgan and his team lend their services to nonprofit dental organizations. He recently took a trip to the Dominican Republic to perform dental surgeries for people in need. Locally he works with the Give Back A Smile program to help women who have been through domestic abuse get their confidence back through improving their smiles. He also works with several shelters in the western suburbs.
This passion for helping people goes way back, starting when Dr. Morgan was a young man.
“I always admired my grandfather, who was a very talented surgeon, and I loved seeing how he developed relationships with and helped his patients,” he says. “Quite a few people in my family work in the health professions and related fields, and giving back is important to us.”
Today, whether he’s working with patients from Hinsdale, the greater Midwest, or around the world, Dr. Morgan strives to give each person a unique and successful experience that few other offices can provide.
“I have been working in esthetic dentistry for a long time and this is where my expertise lies, but it’s the relationships with my patients and my staff that make every day interesting and fun,” he says. “No two days are the same, and I love what I do.”
