A Rare Bloom

Most people are surprised to find out that LAUREN SHELTON, DC CACCP, is a visual designer turned chiropractor and wellness aficionado. “I left an incredible position at a Fortune 500 company, which had some amazing perks, such as traveling extensively throughout China and Italy and watching new trends unfold,” she says. “After a few years, I was ready for a change and determined to find a career that would support and enhance the health of women and their families.” She went back to school at Life University, earning her doctorate in chiropractic, magna cum laude, and then continued on to specialize in perinatal and pediatrics. Now, as co-owner, with her husband, and chiropractor at Root & Bloom Chiropractic, Dr. Shelton says, “I am authentic and always encourage the women, children, and families who walk through our doors to practice self-love and respect.” At Root & Bloom, patients will find a nurturing space to speak without judgment and a team that works collaboratively to address their healthcare goals—whether it’s a new mom bringing her newborn in to be evaluated or a woman with years of migraines. “While my first career took me all over the world and across the US, I could not be happier to be settled back where I grew up, surrounded by my family and a wonderful team at Root & Bloom Chiropractic,” Dr. Shelton says. “Helping families—from newborns to adults—achieve their highest level of health through chiropractic.”
