“We have the procedures and treatments that are only available through large academic medical centers, but we offer those services close to Hinsdale at Rush Oak Brook,” Dr. Rao says. “This increases accessibility for our local patient population.”
As part of Rush, the Comprehensive GI Clinic works closely with other doctors to make sure patients get the care they need. “We have access to other specialties and subspecialties through Rush,” Dr. Kim says. “We can collaborate with our colleagues and provide care without necessarily providing a referral. If patients do need the care of another doctor, we work closely to make sure the transition in care is seamless.”
