North Shore native ARIANA ROSE YUDKOWSKY, founder of Breast Friends Concierge Nursing, says the work she does is personal. “Witnessing my mother and two sisters-in-law undergo mastectomies and struggle to find adequate post-surgical care highlighted a significant gap in support for women in my community,” explains Yudkowsky, who graduated from Binghamton University in 2014 and has devoted the last 10 years working as a registered nurse specializing in women’s health. “This inspired me to dedicate myself to helping women with breast cancer navigate their recovery journeys.” One of the most rewarding things about her career is helping to support and empower women. “It is incredible that I can make such a positive impact, especially given my personal connection to breast cancer,” she says. “Helping women in the community that I grew up in is truly a meaningful way to give back and make a difference.”

How should women support other women? We should lift each other up by celebrating each other’s success and accomplishments. Supporting other women involves showing kindness, compassion, and solidarity.

How do you inspire others? I believe I inspire others through my unwavering dedication to supporting women with breast cancer. By leading with example, I demonstrate the power of resilience and optimism, showing the challenges that can be overcome with determination and a positive outlook.

Traits you think great leaders possess? Great leaders possess a blend of key traits, including integrity, vision, and empathy. They communicate effectively, inspire and motivate others, and demonstrate resilience in the face of challenges.

Habit you’ve adopted that has had a significant positive change on your daily routine? Prioritizing my mental and physical health by going outside every single day.
