Well Connected

She’s got an app for that.
Well, maybe not an app, but definitely a connection.
Roni Nanini can sell your house or help you buy one. When she does, she brings along her Rolodex.
If you need a handyman, or a restaurant recommendation, or an insurance agent, or a loan officer, or a good place to take the kids, it’s more than likely Nanini has a solid recommendation.
“Let’s get it done,” is her motto.
“I love matching people with a service or experience that is right for them. I love making people’s lives easier and that all comes together in real estate,” she says. “If you need something, I can refer you to the best. It’s my job to make someone’s move as comfortable as possible, to be able to give them a person to call for a recommendation.”
This is exactly what makes Nanini’s full-service, client-focused approach to her business so unique. While her transactions total in the multi-million dollar mark each year, it’s about the method more than the money.
“I guess I’ve always taken on that ‘friend’ role with my clients,” says Nanini, an agent with @properties’ Lake Forest office. “I want them to always feel like they can come to me with any questions they might have, no matter what it is.”
A big part of Nanini’s success is her overall positive outlook on life, which provides her a source of energy.
“People always say they don’t know where I get my energy but I have an upbeat attitude about life,” she says. “That’s what happens when you love what you do for a living.”
Nanini was born and raised in Highland Park and is currently raising her family in Lake Forest, which provides her an edge when serving clients looking to move to the North Shore.
“To live in the area where you sell gives you so many connections that someone new to the area isn’t going to have,” says Nanini. “Buyers coming from the city especially appreciate my knowledge of each community in the North Shore and how I can match a community to their specific needs.”
In addition to her knowledge of the North Shore, Nanini points to her desire to educate clients as a key to her success.
“I’m what you call a very educational broker,” she says. “I don’t push people to do something they might not be comfortable with. I do my best to educate clients about every decision they need to make throughout the buying and selling process.”
Her approach to her work often leads to long-term friendships with clients. It’s not uncommon for her to get a call from a former client years later looking for a recommendation.
“Part of the reason people are comfortable calling me for recommendations is they know I’m going to suggest what’s best for them,” Nanini says. “I’m not trying to sell them anything.”
All of it adds up to a satisfying and successful career.
“I love what I do and I love this area that I get to call home,” she says.
