The European-inspired café attached to The Peninsula Chicago, Pierrot Gourmet, recently celebrated its grand reopening with refreshed décor and a menu featuring classics. This Chicago locale has been a go-to mainstay for area residents, city visitors, and neighborhood office dwellers for the last two decades. The restaurant’s new atmosphere, designed by award-winning interior designer Bill Rooney, provides a modern approach to Pierrot Gourmet’s previous French country setting and is perfect for outdoor dining during the warmer months. The restaurants opening menus, created by Chef de Cuisine Jerick Vargas, feature many past favorites, including European-style flatbreads, tartines, soups, salads, and the signature rotisserie chicken, while introducing some new dishes and desserts that are sure to become instant must-haves. Between the delicious food, fresh pastries, and fantastic selection of regional wines, you can’t go wrong with a visit to the Parisian-style café for a casual yet elevated dining experience.
