Tim Meade started Reflections in Glass more than 30 years ago to offer a valuable resource to customers who wanted a wide variety of customization options for the glass in their home. Working with a series of different glass dealers, he set out to give people options and get the perfect glass into their homes as quickly as possible.
“We do almost anything in glass,” Meade says. “We do residential, shower doors, mirrors, glass replacement. We do commercial, storefronts, windows. We specialize in custom shower doors. We have a motto: If you dream it, we can build it.”
Shower doors are a particular specialty of Reflections in Glass. Staff assists customers in creating the ideal environment for their home with showers that are frameless or fully-framed in distinct, polished metals with tempered glass in a wide variety of textures and colors. A quick tour of the company website displays a wide range of sleek, modern glass enclosures to more traditional smooth lines masking waterproof magnetic closure systems and an assortment of dynamic hardware.
On the commercial side of things, the company’s custom storefront windows offer business owners the ability to craft distinctive, curbside appeal that draws clientele. Glass barriers on stairways running from the stairs to the banister allow businesses a welcome element of safety while maintaining appealing sightlines, and preserving architectural details.
But that’s only one half of the business. When Meade, his sons Michael and Jeffrey, and his daughter-in-law Robin—also a part of the family owned and operated business—were looking to refinish Meade’s garage floors, they knew there had to be a better option than the traditional epoxy system. They discovered the polyaspartic coating system and American Garage Floor Systems was born.
Their method of coating a garage floor has so many benefits over the epoxy method. It’s four times stronger than epoxy, it won’t discolor as it ages, and the installation is so much more convenient.
With other methodologies, it’s commonplace to be out of your garage for a week. With their polyaspartic, rapid set, roller grade material, they can apply the coats within hours. You can walk on it in four to six hours, you can drive your car back into the garage the next day, 24 to 26 hours after it’s been installed.
From a polished coating over a smooth concrete surface to vibrant single colors and metallics that brighten a space to colored flake patterns that create distinctive designs, American Garage Floor Systems constructs the foundation for a garage with personality. For the ultimate declaration of who you are, consider their ability to inlay custom designs right into the focal point of the floor. They inlay blown-up logos of sports teams, clients’ initials, anything graphic and eye-catching. From a mancave to an extra room for a party, they’ve got you covered.
“I’m so glad I found American Garage Floor Systems,” says Karen Espinol, who offered a client testimonial on their website. “I am a contractor, and I have worked with them on garage floors with three of our customers so far and definitely recommend their product and great service. It outlasts the other materials, and you can’t beat the appearance. The product is beautiful, durable, and has a quick application process. Nothing on the market compares to their polyaspartic floor coating. I will continue to use their product whenever I can.”
Even though “garage” is in their name, their coating system is also a perfect option for pool decks, courtyards, basements, and showrooms. And the commercial applications are endless— from warehouses and bathroom floors to lunch rooms.
“We’ve built up a good list of clients, and we do a lot of repeat business,” Meade says. “We get a lot of satisfaction from making people happy.”
