Where do you draw inspiration from? A client’s home is a blank canvas that demands color to define it (Inside and out). Each hue has something to offer.

Favorite recent project? On April 11, 2018, a historic 1899 Colonial Revival known as the Orland P. Bassett House in Hinsdale experienced a massive roof fire. Although the fire was devastating to the 119-year-old home, the homeowners took the opportunity to completely rehabilitate and restore it to its original grandeur and elegance. The colors, wallpapers, and furnishings represent days gone by. The rooms, inspired by the days of elegant dinner parties and lavish ballroom dances, came to life as multiple trades worked for years to rebuild to exacting historical standards. We were honored to be a part of Dave Knecht Custom’s team to help restore this “American Beauty” inside and out. To work on a project that has the distinction of being a nationally registered historic home is inspiring. It gave our team a sense of pride and commitment to both the family and the community.
