TIMOTHY M. DAW

For more than 35 years, Timothy M. Daw has litigated and negotiated complex family law cases to help clients achieve their objectives. He started his career with Schiller DuCanto & Fleck shortly after its formation and while still a law student. “I responded to a blind ad on a law school bulletin board for a clerkship for an unnamed firm. I learned in what became an extensive interview that this firm had developed a boutique practice representing high net-worth individuals in family law matters,” he explains. “A condition of accepting my position was that I had to stop working nights while going to law school. I knew nothing about divorce and 38 years later I am a senior partner.” He pursued this profession because he wanted to help people during the most difficult part of their lives. Today, Daw assists families and individuals, including business owners, executives; athletes; doctors; celebrities; and their spouses and significant others in resolving family law matters including divorce, premarital (prenuptial) agreements, parentage as well as many other ancillary issues. Daw has extensive litigation as well as mediation experience. Over the last three decades, he says the firm has grown and evolved in ways he could have never anticipated. “Working with the smartest and the most dedicated people I had ever met made me want to be like them,” he adds. “These traits have become part of the firm’s culture.”
