Lake Forest’s Mimi Murley hosted a community cocktail reception for The Writers: Portraits by Laura Wilson exhibit at the Durand Art Institute at Lake Forest College. Wilson is the mother of actors Luke and Owen and her latest exhibition is a fresh series of more than 150 photographs inspired by the classic photo essays of Life Magazine of the 1940s and 1950s. The exhibition showed how 38 internationally acclaimed writers live and work. Wilson’s work has appeared in The New York Times, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, and The Washington Post.
