CHRISTIE JORDAN’s path to healing began as she watched her father move through cancer more than 25 years ago. “That experience informed me on the power of the human body and spirit, as well as the role of emotions on the body,” Jordan says. Her journey led her to pursue an MS in Oriental Medicine at Midwest College of Oriental Medicine, and an apprenticeship with master herbalist, Dr. Guo in Chicago and Nakao Sunsae in Japan. Now, she practices, empowers, and teaches others as Founding Director and President of Source Healing and The Awakened Now. After more than two decades of helping clients, Source Healing has become known as a top-tier holistic wellness clinic that treats pain and stress-related conditions, as well as women’s health and fertility—with acupuncture, Chinese medicine, neuromuscular bodywork, nutrition, and energy work—administered by licensed practitioners with years of clinical experience. The Awakened Now is the company’s education arm, teaching about intuition, healing, and presence in group and corporate settings. Jordan is inspired by the ancient Taoists: “The lens through which the Taoists see all life and the cosmos releases the need for judgment and encourages the cultivation of balance and wisdom in all things including health, relationships with each other and to the natural world.” At Source Healing, practitioners assist in this inner and outer cultivation during times of transitions in life. “It is during these transitions that clients can develop physical symptoms,” Jordan says. “We then delve into and teach balance on a root level.”
