FINE ARTIST
Lisa Kinzelberg produces drawings and paintings that include large-scale abstracts, portraits, and figurative works. Coming from a long line of prominent musicians and percussionists, Kinzelberg paints like a drummer or conductor, focusing on rhythm and movement. She intentionally interrupts lines, sculpts and composes the surface of her compositions, strategically covering and revealing markings to produce a highly evocative composition, color field, texture, and energy. Many pieces evoke urban buildings or natural surfaces, like water, stone, rock, pavement, sky, and brick.
