Located on Gage Street, this is Serena & Lily’s 16th design shop and the second location in Illinois—the first being in Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood.

The design shop is charming both on the exterior and interior. The vibe is bright, airy, and coastal with beachy natural elements set in an array of coastal blues and cool tones. Showcasing furniture for the entire home, along with bedding and decor and outdoor design solutions, Serena & Lily’s details can’t be missed with signature wallpapers and upholstery greeting customers with a mix of textures and textiles—creating a luxurious, yet cozy and coastal feel, all within a 4,500-square-foot design haven.

The showroom is set with model kitchens, living rooms, dining areas, bedrooms, and outdoor spaces that are thoughtfully curated to bring coastal inspiration right into homes. The displays are decorated with Serena & Lily’s signature bedding and rug collections and also highlight an assortment of lighting and accessories. There are even custom furniture options and an extensive swatch display featuring more than 300 original textile and wallpaper designs—all in that California coastal vibe, of course.

In addition, the design shop features an ever-evolving art gallery of original paintings from local artists. It has works of art featuring Chicago artists Jack Flynn, Vicky McGrath, and Megan Hinds, all of which complement the shop’s aesthetic and curated displays to give customers the full look and feel.

Their expert in-house advisors offer complimentary design services. Customers can work one-on-one with the advisors either through in-person or virtual consultations and even work with advisors with in-home appointments to really bring decorating visions to life. In addition, the design shop features a creative workspace for interior designers where client meetings, private appointments, and presentations can be held during and outside of regular business hours.
