The annual Arbor Day Plant Sale at The Morton Arboretum (April 24 – April 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) is one of the largest plant sales for a public garden in the U.S. It offers thousands of care- fully chosen plants, including hundreds of species and varieties of trees, shrubs, perennials, grasses, ferns, vegetables, and herbs. Specially chosen by the Arboretum’s expert staff, all plants are suitable for Chicago-area gardens. Helpful “Plant Geniuses” are available throughout the sale to answer questions and suggest plants. To get your garden ready for the warmer months ahead, be sure to get your tickets— now available to Arboretum members and available to nonmembers on April 14—at mortonarb.org.
