When Midtown Athletic Club says that they have something for everyone, they mean it. Midtown Athletic Club in Palatine combines big-club amenities with boutique quality programming. From tennis to personal training, group exercise to yoga, Pilates to aquatics, and more—all of your fitness needs can be met under one roof.
“Our members don’t have to drive to three or four different studios to get their workouts in any more,” explains Midtown Athletic Club in Palatine manager Dina Casso. “They can do it all at Midtown, as part of our community.”
New for members this September, the Palatine location is launching another innovative fitness experience in a new studio space called The Arena.
“The Arena is a boot-camp workout that combines high-intensity interval training with military-style drills for maximum results, outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment from Life Fitness,” says Casso. “Midtown members never stop improving. Once they enter The Arena, they transform into gladiators ready to push themselves to the limit. Nicknamed the ‘palace of sweat,’ The Arena is where our members can go to find out what they’re really made of.”
The Arena is the perfect complement to the Theater studio that was unveiled in May, a space that was inspired by the design and feel of a Broadway show. “The instructors are literally on stage leading a fitness experience that feels like going to a concert,” adds Casso. “We’ve incorporated the latest technology so our instructors can control the lights and music, all at the touch of a finger.”
The Palatine location is the first Midtown Athletic Club in the country to offer both The Arena and Theater studios featuring world-class exercise programs that members can’t experience anywhere else.
“This is such an exciting time to be part of Midtown,” Casso says. “We’re truly creating a community around people who want to live healthy, active lives.”
While members may be like-minded in their desires to be fit, Midtown prides itself on the diversity of its membership—appealing to people in all phases of life.
“Midtown is a one-stop-shop for a busy Mom,” says Palatine member Leah Benton. “I can drop the kids off at Kidtown and know they are being cared for and entertained with activities, art projects, and games. I can then enjoy Midtown’s top notch fitness facilities. I love that I can finish my morning with a quick steam and a shower and then head back to Kidtown feeling like I can take on the day.”
Midtown Athletic Club in Palatine member Gail Sklar says working out at Midtown has strengthened her golf game. “Midtown is the best thing you can do for yourself on a regular basis both for your mind and body,” adds Sklar. “I can’t say enough about the people working at Midtown—from the instructors to the friendly people who check me in at the front desk. It’s a great place to be.”
