Tanya Stanish has practiced in the area of family law for high net-worth families for more than 25 years. “I have had the privilege of representing many wonderful people in the Chicago area, including business owners, medical professionals, attorneys, professional athletes, a rapper, entrepreneurs, C-suite executives, and their spouses,” says Stanish, who graduated with honors and Order of the Coif from DePaul University College of Law and has an undergraduate degree in Economics. As a Senior Partner at Schiller DuCanto & Fleck LLP, she specializes in divorce, parenting and support conflicts, orders of protection, and negotiating pre- and post-nuptial agreements. “Some divorce attorneys specialize exclusively in one forum such as mediation or collaborative law or litigation,” Stanish explains. “I expertly practice in many forums, depending upon the right process for the client. I can effectively navigate a client through whichever method is beneficial for the client’s situation and needs.” The first thing she does with a new client is to sit down and listen. “They want me to know how their situation is affecting them and their children. The best way to learn how I can service the client is by listening to their story without judging,” she adds. “Once they tell me their concerns and fears, I can relate the law to the situation and let them know how the law will protect them.”
