Talk of the Town: Leading Agent

Whether moving across town, across the country, or across the globe, LARYSA DOMINO can help. Named the No. 1 Individual Agent in Hinsdale in 2019 and 2020, Domino prides herself on being a relentless advocate for her clients. Using her background as a CPA and in Corporate Finance, Domino uses an analytical, datadriven approach while helping her clients buy or sell.
As for her take on the current market, “The COVID-19 influence on the real estate market has driven the ‘more is more’ phenomenon. Buyers want larger basements with exercise rooms, media centers, more outdoor space, two offices, and more overall square footage. The spring market should be robust!” she explains. “I’m so thankful for the success of my business over the past year. Low inventory in the marketplace created a heightened need for immediate showing capability and a laser-focus on off-market inventory. In February, I added Candace Allen as a buyer’s specialist to help specifically with home buyers, and we just recently added Katy LaCrosse as a second buyer’s specialist. Overall, we have more than doubled my 2020 volume already this year,” she adds.
While Domino is the leading broker in Hinsdale, she also focuses her time on volunteering and of course, her daughter. “She’s my No. 1! I’ve focused many of my community activities around my daughter’s schools,” she says. She has served as a past Co-President the Madison Elementary School PTO, as well as chair positions with Hinsdale Junior Woman’s Club, and most recently with Infant Welfare Society.
When asked how she balances it all, Domino shares, “It’s not easy, and sleep is often a casualty of the process. I think all working parents struggle with this balance. I’ve created seasonal annual traditions that give us something to look forward to during the busy months and allow time to ‘pause’ as a family.”
As we move into the busy holiday season, perhaps Domino’s advice to take ‘pause’ with the ones we love is what we all need to hear.
