TAILOR-MADE ARCHITECTURE

For 25 years, Jeff Harting and his GTH Architects firm have specialized in architecture, interiors, and landscape design throughout the U.S.
Why do you love what you do? Each project is an opportunity for individual challenges and tangible results that affect everyday lives and lifestyles. No project is ever the same in goals or style, which makes each one so special and specific to the client’s needs.
What sets you apart from your competition? We take pride in our client relations and collaborating with our homeowners, consciously deciding to keep our firm small as our clients seek a more intimate collaboration. Our best attribute is when someone comments that it appears our work was always there and so appropriate in its setting.
Past trends you’d like to see return? It appears we are already seeing a turn in these trends towards individual spaces—rooms that can adapt and be private when necessary and open and flexible at other times.
Trends on the horizon? I feel we are seeing more clients break away from “the pack” and now expressing their personality more and not following the published “must-have, must-look-like” photos or social media shared boards.
Best advice you’ve given? Be patient. Design is not a button on the computer.
Where do you draw inspiration from? Travel and exploring how other areas, nationally and globally, view and use their home.
Favorite mantra? A problem is simply a challenge and a challenge is always an opportunity.
