WHEN CASSIE CARVER, Caroline Eimerman, and Kristin Lambropoulos were students at Lake Forest’s Everett Elementary School, they could never have dreamed that one day the three of them would come together to raise money for this very same school district that their children would someday attend.

But as fortunes would have it, on Thursday, May 19 at Exmoor Country Club, this dynamic trio is chairing the Spirit of 67 Foundation’s “In the Spirit of Style”—a ladies’ night out and fashion show to raise money to enhance the educational and cultural experiences for Lake Forest School District 67 students.

“I love supporting the schools that I went to that my children now do,” says Lambropoulos, who founded Total Spectrum, an ABA Therapy company for children on the autism spectrum with her brothers, Brian and Andrew Lacy. “I feel it’s important to invest in our schools to make them a place that alumni want to return to with their families.”

The idea of a fashion show came from a brainstorming session the three co-chairs had to create a fun evening event. “Fashion shows don’t just happen,” says Carver, who is the managing member of Ferrari Lake Forest, her family’s dealership. “You need the right people to produce them.”

The chairs secured fan favorite Zzazz Productions, well-known in the area for its beautifully curated shows, to direct the fashion show that will feature looks from Lillie Alexander Ltd., Ewamay, and Neiman Marcus to name just a few. Guests will be treated to heavy appetizers, a cash bar, raffle, and auction items.

“It’s wonderful to know that the money we raise will make our incredible schools even better,” says Eimerman, owner of Belvedere Events & Catering. Eimerman also designs invitations, event signage, and personalized party products for her online event décor business, Posh Papetiere. Guests will see her signature flair throughout the event.

“In the Spirt of Style” is one of two major fundraising events that will be hosted this year by The Spirit of 67. Its mission—to raise funds and acquire resources to provide enriching educational and cultural experiences for the students, parents, faculty, and staff of Lake Forest School District 67 that might not otherwise be provided—has made it possible for nearly $6 million (more than 700 individual grants) in grant awards to be provided over the last 36 years. Grants are awarded every April.

While money raised at In the Spirit of Style is for schools in District 67, all ladies are welcome at this event. Tickets are available at spiritof67foundation.org.
