As a real estate advisor with Compass Real Estate, Lisa Finks brings strategic thinking, legal insight, and strong advocacy to complex transactions. A licensed attorney with experience as both a litigator and general counsel, she approaches real estate with a deep understanding of contracts, risk, negotiation dynamics, and long-term financial implications. Based on the North Shore, Finks pairs strong local knowledge with a highly analytical approach to value, helping clients evaluate and position homes with a focus on location dynamics, lifestyle fit, and long-term resale strength.
How do you define “exceptional” in today’s luxury market?
Exceptional is when quality and location come together. It’s exquisite craftsmanship, a layout that lives well, and details you don’t see everywhere, along with a stellar setting: the feel of the street, walkability, and privacy. The most exceptional homes also avoid being too trendy; they’re timeless and built to hold their value.
What sets your approach apart when working with high-net-worth clients?
My background as an attorney shapes everything I do. I combine a risk-conscious, strategic approach with data-driven analysis to protect my client’s position and guide decisions with confidence. High-net-worth clients (and really all clients) value practical analysis, sound judgment, and discretion throughout the process, especially when the details are complex.
How do you position a premium property to stand out in a competitive market?
Every North Shore home has its own story to tell. My process begins with identifying what makes the home exceptional and who is most likely to value it, then doing the behind the scenes work that matters just as much as the public marketing: data-driven pricing, thoughtful preparation, and a clear story about how the home lives and the lifestyle it offers. Then I leverage my personal networks and premarket relationships to build early momentum before expanding exposure strategically, and this approach is consistent for all of my clients.
