STEVE NAPLETON AUTO GROUP BETS BIG ON PALATINE WITH TWO NEW ACQUISITIONS

The Napleton name is becoming harder to miss in Palatine. With the recent acquisition of Hyundai of Palatine and Chevrolet of Palatine from AutoCanada, Steve Napleton Auto Group has planted an even firmer flag in the northwest suburbs. The two stores, now operating as Napleton Palatine Hyundai and Napleton Palatine Chevrolet, bring the group’s Chicago-area footprint to 11 dealerships — four of them in Palatine.
The move comes at a time of shifting ownership in the auto industry. AutoCanada announced earlier this summer it would divest 13 U.S. dealerships as part of a retreat from the stateside market.
For Napleton, the opposite is true: the family-run group is doubling down on its home turf, betting on a community it has served for nearly a century.
“Palatine is a community we know and love,” said Kevin Kysiak, dealer principal of Napleton Palatine Chevrolet, Napleton Palatine Hyundai, and Napleton’s Schaumburg Buick GMC. “Hyundai and Chevrolet are both fantastic brands, with products that our customers demand.”
The additions give Napleton customers a wider range of options — everything from Hyundai’s fast-growing lineup of EVs and hybrids to Chevrolet’s lineup of trucks, SUVs and American classics. More than just inventory, though, the expansion underscores the group’s long-standing strategy: stay local, build trust and grow where relationships already run deep.
For Palatine, it means the town isn’t just getting new signs on familiar showrooms — it’s becoming the centerpiece of one of Chicago’s most enduring auto families.
