With more than three decades of surgical expertise, Dr. Stephan Wyers and Dr. Isabelle Chu exemplify precision, innovation, and compassionate care at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth. Dr. Wyers has spent thirty years treating trauma and critically ill patients while managing benign and malignant conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, endocrine system, skin, and soft tissues. A pioneer in minimally invasive surgery, he emphasizes laparoscopic and robotic procedures for faster recovery, fewer complications, and less pain. Beyond his clinical practice, he has served in leadership roles, mentoring residents and guiding surgical teams, shaping the next generation of surgeons.

Dr. Chu brings fellowship-trained expertise in endocrine surgery, focusing on thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal disease. Influenced by her physician parents and early classical music training, she combines technical mastery with artistry in every procedure.
