The flagship CD Peacock Mansion in Oakbrook Center was filled with splendor during the Beautiful Lives Project Fashion Show. This inspiring event featured models who are blind or visually impaired, bringing awareness, empowerment, and inclusivity to the fashion world.
The runway came alive as models showcased contemporary fashion paired with CD Peacock jewelry. More than a fashion event, the evening served as a platform for advocacy and fundraising—spotlighting the Beautiful Lives Project’s mission to create opportunities for people of all abilities to pursue their dreams in sports, arts, fashion, and beyond.
The show was organized by Aria Holtzman, daughter of Steven and Qi Holtzman, of CD Peacock. As a high school junior, Aria successfully led the event with Bryce Weiler, co-founder of Beautiful Lives Project.
“I imagined the fashion show to be a space where people could express themselves, proving that true self-expression reaches far beyond what the eye can see,” said Aria Holtzman.

The 10 models enjoyed a full day of preparation leading up to the runway, beginning with professional pampering, followed by lunch, makeup, and fittings at Nordstrom, where they each selected outfits purchased for them by CD Peacock. The models completed their looks by accessorizing with CD Peacock jewelry, then walked the runway with confidence and joy.
“Experiencing blind or visually impaired models taking the runway with such confidence was moving and inspiring,” said Steven Holtzman, Vice Chairman at CD Peacock. “This event was a reminder that inclusion and opportunity create the most powerful form of beauty, and we are proud that CD Peacock could serve as the stage for that message.”
Guests were inspired by the models’ powerful performances, proving that fashion transcends clothing, it invigorates the spirit. The evening also raised $25,000 for the Beautiful Lives Project’s ongoing initiatives, reaffirming the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to live their dreams. This innovative organization hosts custom events to help defeat isolation today, break down social biases tomorrow, and generate long-term actions that will create a better quality of life for people with disabilities and special needs in the future.
The collaboration further cements CD Peacock’s legacy of community engagement, aligning its heritage with meaningful partnerships that support Chicago, artistry, individuality, and empowerment.
