We have all known people who seem to take on life with a smile rather than a frown—people who seem to dwell more on the solution than the problem, and whose positivity shines through everything they do. They are the ones who truly do make the world a better place.

Roni Nanini is one of those people.

“People always say they don’t know where I get my energy,” she says. “But yes, I do seem to have an endless amount of energy and an upbeat attitude about life in general. I guess that’s what happens when you love what you get to do for a living. My tag line is ‘let’s get it done!’”

A multi-million-dollar real estate agent for @Properties, Nanini has long utilized her friendly demeanor to work to her advantage as she leads her buyers and sellers through the often confusing and complex real estate market.

“I guess I’ve always taken on that ‘friend’ role with my clients,” adds Nanini, who was born and raised in Highland Park. “I want them to always feel like they can come to me with any question they might have, no matter what it is.”

Indeed, Nanini prides herself in being somewhat a ‘one-stop shop’ for her clients, always at the ready to cater to all their real estate needs. But at the same time, the Lake Forest resident also finds it important to make sure they are educated about the entire buying and selling process.

“I’m what you would call a very educational broker,” says Nanini. “I don’t push people into doing something they might not be comfortable with. Instead, I do my best to educate them fully about every decision they need to make throughout the process.”

And it’s this wonderful customer service that makes Nanini one of the most sought after real estate brokers on the North Shore, selling millions of dollars in real estate every year. Of course, being a life-long North Shore resident gives her customers insight that they couldn’t get anywhere else.

“To live in the area you sell gives you so many connections that someone new to the area is never going to have,” Nanini explains. “This is especially appreciated by my buyers coming to the area from the city. I can take an area such as Lake Forest and separate it out and truly show them why west Lake Forest, for example, might work for them and their needs.”

It’s not always easy, considering she is a busy wife and mom of two—both who attend school in Lake Forest and whose schedule always seems to be filled to the brim with activities. So, how does she juggle it all?

“We find a way,” says Nanini. “It’s not always easy, and there are times where I’m not sure how we do it, but there is nothing else I would rather do. I just absolutely love what I do and I love this area I get to call home.”
