On Saturday April 30 Second City Canine Rescue hosted their annual gala, Cocktails for Canines, and tenth anniversary celebration at the Biltmore Country Club. With over 250 people in attendance, along with some very fluffy puppies, it was a successful evening. Second City Canine Rescue recently opened a new adoption center at 570 North Smith Street in Palatine. With a mission statement of “Rescuing Responsibly,” their goal is to find loving forever homes for more than 600 dogs this year.
