The lights, the crowd, even the furniture, the entire patio of The Community House was bathed in pink, Savannah Wood’s favorite color. This vivacious middle schooler who spent 100 nights in Lurie Children’s Hospital receiving treatment for osteosarcoma, rang the bell to mark the end of treatment in June. This special August evening was a celebration and thank you. Savannah’s parents, Stacia and Stuart enlisted the help of Susan Cordogan of Big City Events to sprinkle special touches throughout the evening. The joy was infectious as everyone danced, laughed, and remembered that life is about showing up for the people you love.
