More than 500 guests turned out for the Ravinia Women’s Board’s annual fundraising gala in July. The evening began with cocktails on the North Lawn sponsored by BMO, followed by a powerful performance by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Emmy, Tony, and Grammy award-winning singer Cynthia Erivo. After the performance, guests dined in a perfectly outfitted tent with décor by The Flower Firm, cuisine catered by Food for Thought, and wine provided by Terlato. The 2021 benefit was hosted by co-chairs Mindy Meade DeStefano, Ellen Falkof, and Onnie Scheyer, and special guests included Ravinia President and CEO Jeffrey P. Haydon, Highland Park Mayor Nancy Rodkin Rotering, Chief Conductor Marin Alsop, Ravinia Board Chair Don Civgin, and Ravinia Women’s Board Chair Marilyn Vender. The nearly $750,000 raised during the evening will benefit the festival’s REACH TEACH PLAY education programs, serving more than 75,000 people throughout the Chicago area each year. ravinia.org
