One Last Thing

When it came time for Clarendon Hills mother of four Mariel Pain to open a fitness studio, she chose a premium spot in her new home town. Barre3 is a workout routine that blends yoga, Pilates, and ballet barre work to enhance good health and wellness. This busy mom and entrepreneur recently took a break from the studio’s opening to share some of her lasts.
Last amazing thing your family did to appreciate you as a mother?
Every Mother’s Day since we moved to Clarendon Hills nine years ago, my boys and I take a trip to Hinsdale Nurseries to choose flowers and plants to fill our garden beds and window boxes. We spend the afternoon digging in the dirt and planting together in the sunshine.
Great workout combo?
Barre3 is a 60-minute exercise class incorporating the wisdom of yoga, the strength of Pilates, and the grace of ballet barre work. The workouts are designed to transform the body to one of equal balance, strength, and flexibility.
Lifestyle change that improved your life?
About a year or so ago, I began to rethink the way I nourished myself and my family and decided to incorporate more whole food nutrition into our meals. We gradually crowded out unhealthy choices with tasty whole food recipe ideas found on barre3.com.
Movie you watched with your kids?
We watched Moana together! The music and story are terrific and it reminded of our favorite trips to the Hawaiian Islands as a family.
Fabulous find in the Hinsdale area?
Have you stopped by Nourished Table & Home yet? Nourished is a charming farmhouse converted into a unique business which offers cooking classes, lunch and learn classes, wellness coaching, and an aromatherapy bar.
