What is life but a series of triumphs and challenges? Chris Webb of Webb Financial Group in West Lake Forest says his goal is to be there for clients through all these changes, from the birth of a child to the passing of a loved one.

His mission is to provide the personal approach to helping clients be prepared for a variety of life’s changes. “We like to be there when you need us, throughout the year,” says Webb, owner of the Lake Forest-based independent insurance agency Webb Financial Group. “Insurance policies of all types are reviewed on an ongoing basis. That allows us to be an advocate and help clients prepare for whatever may be coming next.”

Catering to the Lake Forest and North Shore clientele, Webb Financial Group has held the trust of their clients since opening their doors in 2008.

“I can’t tell you how many people I hear about who bought their insurance policy years ago and essentially put it on the shelf,” says Webb. “But things change and needs change throughout the many stages of life. When they are ready to dust off what they already have, we are here to help and work to make sure we find them the best fit for their family and their situation.”

Throughout the years, Webb and his talented team have worked with a client base comprised of their neighbors in the Lake Forest area. That boutique approach ensures that life insurance, health insurance, and related benefits needs are being met in a customized way.

“What sets us apart is the deep expertise our team has in every area of insurance,” says Webb, whose works with a variety of insurance providers to ensure that customers get the comprehensive coverage they need. “No matter who you are, everyone is trying to save money. But buying insurance from a main line carrier is just risky for the affluent homeowners that we cater to. There are fewer and fewer insurance professionals out there these days, and there are just so many land mines out there. We want to be the ones people can trust.”

Webb came to the Lake Forest area more than 18 years ago, when an associate of his in Chicago was praising the area.

“My wife and I got married in 2000, and she was from Wisconsin, so the proximity to home was very appealing,” explains Webb, who graduated from Louisiana State University in 1987. “There is just such an unpretentious feel here, despite the wealth that surrounds us. It’s great to run into friends and neighbors at our local Starbucks who I know through our church, Knollwood Club, or the Lake Forest–Lake Bluff Rotary Club. There are just good people here.”

And indeed, it’s those same people that walk through the doors of Webb Financial every single day.

“We try to be authentic and give people real and relevant information,” Webb says. “Even more importantly, we want to make sure they fully understand that information.”

A former President of Lake Forest–Lake Bluff Rotary Club, Webb has also served as an ambassador for the Lake County chapter of The First Tee youth golf network and is also an active member of the Economic Club of Chicago.

In the coming months, it is one of Webb’s goals to become even more a part of the community. In fact, he is currently considering finding a way to partner more with Bernie’s Book Bank.

“We pride ourselves in being a member of this community,” Webb adds. “It’s a passion of mine and an important part of what we do.”
