Prior medical training has given both doctors the tools needed to detect skin cancer early when, Dr. Jeffrey Berti says, it’s most easily and very often successfully cured. However, prevention is the key.

“Prevention is always the best medicine, but you’re not going to have that early diagnosis unless you come in for a screening,” he says. “Developing a relationship with your dermatologist is advantageous, and if you are under our care virtually every other skin condition will also be caught and diagnosed at an earlier stage than normal, and readily treated.”

After discussing any medical issues, the doctors are happy to talk about restorative procedures with their patients, Dr. Toula Berti says.
