What made you want to start a career in real estate?
My light bulb moment was when I was having a glass of wine on my front porch with my girlfriend. We were talking about real estate and she encouraged me to go for it. After building several homes, I became obsessed with real estate. Additionally, I developed relationships in my community serving on several philanthropic boards and was seen as a doer, coupled with a background in sales—a great foundation for a real estate career.
What’s most rewarding about real estate?
Helping my buyers and sellers make a major life transition. They are buying or selling a home where memories have been made or will be made. I take this seriously and am sensitive to the magnitude of what home means.
What do you think separates you from other real estate professionals in the business today?
When I work with clients, they work with me, not a junior agent. I have an incredible team which affords me the time to be with my clients, providing concierge level service to help alleviate the stress and maximize results.
In real estate, what will never be replaced by technology?
The personal touch. Our elite team at McCleary Group understands that luxury is about delivering a bespoke experience that caters to unique desires—providing personalized attention and ensuring every detail is meticulously taken care of.
What are your top staging tips? Who do you go to when staging a listing?
The goal is to appeal to the broadest base of buyers. I am one of the very few real estate brokers that has a professional interior designer as part of the team. I am also a certified stager. You only have one chance to make a first impression and I want it to be a good one.
