Samaritan Counseling Center of the Northwest Suburbs hosted a “Lucky Kentucky” fundraiser on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Compass Lane Farm in Lake Barrington to kick off Mental Health Awareness Month. Approximately 125 guests experienced a festive night of food trucks, outdoor games, silent and live auctions, appetizers by Wild Asparagus, signature drinks and live music from Acoustic Generation, followed by a DJ for dancing. Over $73,000 was raised—a new record for the nonprofit—and funds will help provide financial assistance to those seeking counseling who are uninsured or underinsured.
