JUDY GIBBONS, of Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty leverages her deep Barrington roots and 20 years of real estate expertise to help others find their dream homes. After a successful 13-year stint launching a fashion company in New York, she armed herself with real estate licenses in Illinois, Michigan, and Florida to help clients achieve their real estate goals. Gibbons is honored to have recently been selected as a host of Emmy-nominated show, American Dream TV.

How should women support other women? I surround myself with strong, smart, and savvy women business owners because I believe in the power of community and collaboration. I love the idea of straightening each other’s crowns and cheering each other on as we celebrate our successes and support each other through challenges. Through this, we create a network of empowerment and inspiration, pushing each other to reach new heights. That kind of support is invaluable.

Greatest risk you’ve taken as a professional? Starting my career in real estate was a significant leap outside my comfort zone. It was a challenging time, made even more daunting when the market crashed shortly after I began. Despite the uncertainty and obstacles, I persevered, driven by a passion for the industry and a determination to succeed. Looking back, I’m incredibly thankful I stayed the course, as those early struggles ultimately shaped me into the resilient and experienced professional I am today. Helping people achieve their real estate goals is my passion.

Best piece of advice for anyone starting out? It won’t be easy but it’s going to be worth it! Challenges and obstacles are inevitable, but they pave the way for growth and success. Embracing the difficulties makes achievements more rewarding, turning every struggle into a steppingstone toward success.
