Why you love what you do? I love that I get to turn a house into a home and that each design is specifically curated for each client. Designing is like a puzzle; where we figure out the best solution for your space.

What sets you apart from your competition? In addition to our huge retail showroom, The Design Bar was recognized as one of the Best Home Accents Stores in the nation. We are also a finalist for the 32nd annual Arts Award for Best Design Studio in the nation. It’s an honor to be considered for this peer-nominated award.

Past trends you’d like to see return? I would love to see a more casual version of Art Deco design—one of my favorites for its smooth geometric shapes— brought back to life.

Trends on the horizon? I predict that people will move away from transitional spaces toward distinct areas for working at home, allowing for work-life balance and a definitive end to the workday.

Where do you draw inspiration from? I am inspired by nature and the architecture of Chicago, including lots of Art Deco inspiration!
