Lesley A. Dable and Madison H. Boland represent Beermann LLP clients in a wide range of family law matters—from property division, parenting time and support, financial planning, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, domestic violence, and post-divorce issues. Recognizing that every situation is different, Dable and Boland take a “divorce by design” approach to their cases, tailoring the process to each client’s unique needs, and counseling the client to make informed decisions. Dable, a Partner in the firm, is a long-time Wilmette resident who attended law school at Washington University in St. Louis. Boland, an Associate, grew up in North Carolina where she attended undergraduate school prior to moving to Chicago to attend law school at DePaul University. Among this dynamic duo’s strengths is the handling of cases that involve complex financial issues and require creative solutions. They also understand that most of their clients do not have experience dealing with attorneys, legal matters, or the court system. “So, we first explain what they can expect with the handling of their case and explain any legal terms that they do not understand,” says Dable, explaining that at the onset of each case, they also ask our clients to create a list of goals for resolving the issues involved in their case. Boland says it’s important for clients to feel heard and supported. “Recognizing that our clients are already dealing with a significant life-changing event and an uncertain future, we work hard to ensure that they do what is necessary to alleviate their stress,” adds Boland. “Knowledge is powerful.”
