When Chris Parisi was growing up in Barrington, he knew at an early age that he had a knack for construction. So as a college student, he started his own pavement business.

“I think I always loved the smell of asphalt,” says Parisi, the president of Parisi Paving & Sealing in Lake Barrington. “Starting my company was about creating a business that had a true commitment to the community we live in. Our focus is always on our customers today and how we might help them and their families and friends in the years to come.”

Parisi is humbled by the number of people who stop him around town to compliment his company and the high quality work of his crews, recalling a recent experience where he was at a nearby Apple store and a salesperson heralded his company when he recognized Parisi’s name.
