During Lauren Kavanaugh’s last year of law school, her father’s death became a motivational force in her life and ultimately, her career. “I redirected my pain to academics because I knew that’s what would make my dad proud,” says Kavanaugh, who today runs a Hinsdale-based law practice specializing in Commercial Real Estate—encompassing commercial, industrial, retail, new construction, leasing, residential, contracts, corporate, banking, and finance. “Graduating a few months later, and passing the bar a few months after that, I applied that same hard work and dedication then and now, with the start of LK Law.” She explains that being raised around the law had great influence on her to pursue this profession and to gain law firm and corporate experience before venturing out on her own. “I have seen and been inspired by how the law can be used to help people by protecting them or having them achieve their goals,” she adds. “LK Law’s goal is to add value to a transaction, provide clients with innovative solutions to meet their goals, and achieve those goals.
